Seneh Kilim made in Iran. The Seneh kilims are distinctive Kurdish tribal patterns that have not changed over the years. These kilims are a fine quality flat weave. These rugs are reversible and the yarns used are fine and hardwearing. Colours are bright and strong with small intricate patterning, often contrasting in colours and forming borders around the distinctive shaped motifs that often but not always, emanate from central diamond shaped medallion motif.
Kilim or Kelims are also known as flat weaves because they are created with a technique called ‘weft wrapping’. Some are old tribal designs, still being woven just as each tribe’s original ancestors made them.
The methods of kilim weaving has remained unchanged over centuries. The vertical warp threads are fixed and they become the foundation of the kilim. Coloured wool yarns are woven in and out of the warps to produce a design which is invariably geometric in style.
Being so reasonably priced, as well as hard-wearing and sometimes reversible, makes kilims popular for those who appreciate a lively ethnic style and are very good for those on a budget. They also look great as walls hangings.

We are delighted with our new rug. Louise and Masood gave us invaluable professional advice that showed a depth of knowledge and a great understanding of our requirements and style. They went above and beyond to show us a curated selection in situ which helped us make a firm decision we can’t recommend them enough!Posted on camille dubosTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our experience with masoud has been outstanding. We bought a persian rug from an auction which unfortunately did not work in our house. Masoud kindly offered to take our rug back and exchange its value to contribute for the purchase of one of his rugs. He came around and we tried a few rugs in our house to make sure it works well. He left the rugs overnight. The result is that we love the rug we purchased and will buy more rugs from him moving forward. I will 100% recommend his rugs, they are Georgous!Posted on Sara BinghamTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently bought three rugs and couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. The quality of the rugs is absolutely fantastic — they’ve completely transformed our rooms and feel wonderful underfoot. What really made it special was the home visit, which allowed us to see how each rug would look and feel in our own space before deciding. It took all the guesswork out of it and made the process so much easier. Louise and Masoud were genuinely lovely people — friendly, knowledgeable, and never pushy. A truly enjoyable experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!Posted on Sabah RiazTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. There was a great selection and all beautiful rugs at the shop. Masoud was very helpful showing us all the different options, and made the experience very enjoyable. I would highly recommend The Rug Centre and we will be back in the near future. Beautiful products and great service!Posted on Jeremy ShottsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We needed a rug exactly perfect in size and colour and feel to replace a beloved predecessor that was past its prime. These guys went above and beyond to help us select the perfect rug, including an opportunity to take a selection home to 'try before you buy'. All were beautiful, top quality rugs. But it the end - though we'd have loved to keep more - there could be "only one". And it's Perfect! Thank you Masood and Louise and all at The Eastern Rug Centre for immaculate service and beautiful products! Given need and opportunity, we'll be back!Posted on Stella CharmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am really pleased with the rug I ordered from the Rug Centre, it was exactly what I wanted and was delivered promptly. Also excellent value for money, the same quality but rather less expensive than one I bought at a local sale 10 years ago, that this one replaces. Thank you!Posted on Fred EllisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fantastic rugs and great service to help fit colours and patterns to your home
