The Natural Afghan rugs also known as Aqchae Khodrang are the classic Afghans using natural wool. The wool is left its natural colour. There is no yarn dyeing involved. The pattern is created combining the shades of creams, browns and greys. The weaving method is the same as used by traditional Turkman knots weavers in the town of Aqchae found in the Northern Afghanistan region. There are two main designs, one is Pheel Paa (Elephants foot) design, and the other is called Mawree (Camel's foot) design - a much smaller pattern. These rugs are made in Square, Rectangle and corridor Runners.
