Bokhara are extremely soft pile with a high sheen. The rugs have the distinctive Bokhara pattern (camels foot) derived from a Turkoman tribal motif.
Bokhara rugs are woven in villages on the outskirts of Lahore, Pakistan. They are made from Merino wool imported into Pakistan from Australia and New Zealand. The wool has an extremely soft and luxurious feel, an almost silk like texture. The rugs have the distinctive Bokhara pattern (camels foot) derived from a Turkoman tribal motif. The rugs have a high sheen and very soft thick pile. Bokhara rugs come in a wide range of colours and shades.
